The Center of the Geek Universe
Geek Week started in Rome, Georgia in 2011 in the IT Department of one of the largest employers in the area. It was a way to recognize the staff dedicated to making that company great An egg drop contest was one of the first competitive events in Geek Week in the early years. We like to think of Rome as the center of the geek universe, if only for the week!
Geek Week Rome
Geek Week evolved into Geek Week Rome a few years later. Now, local schools and companies participate. It is a week of independent events that are shared across social media.
